  • A passport photo. The photo must be at least six months old and bear a striking resemblance to you.

If you are applying from the U.S., evidence of legal residence

A certificate that proves you have travel and medical insurance for up to EUR 30,000. This certificate is valid throughout the Schengen Area. You must prove that you have sufficient funds to exist during your trip. This can be done by providing bank statements for the last three months. These statements must include the name and address of the owner. Also, proof of regular income should be electronically printed out. Your fingerprints will be taken when you submit your Netherlands visa request. They will be valid for five years. Children under 12 years old, for example, do not require fingerprints to be taken. A parent or guardian must sign forms for children younger than 18. If you’re under 18 and traveling without your guardians or parents, ask them for a consent form. This form may be requested by border guards upon arrival in the Netherlands.
